Personal care favourite Nivea has announced a category first with a revolutionary new product that uses innovative technology to deliver an advancement in hand cleansing.
Designed with both the environment and hygienic efficacy in mind, Nivea EcoRefill Hand Soap comprises of a refillable bottle made of 100% recycled and recyclable PET plastic. Included in the Nivea EcoRefill Hand Soap Starter Kit is a bottle with an easy-to-dispense pump, as well as one EcoRefill cleanser tablet.
The product typically lasts 25% longer compared to standard NIVEA liquid hand soap – and is housed in FSC certified paper. EcoRefill forms part of NIVEA’s broader target to ensure all plastic packaging is refillable, reusable or recyclable by 2025 and has been designed to address the growing demand for more sustainable products and packaging.
According to Mintel, 35% of Uk adults are interested in seeing refillable/reusable packaging in hand care with 46% believing that here are not enough environmentally products available, while 66% of UK women aged 45-64 are especially interested in reusable/refillable packaging.
